About us
How did we start?
Since the mid-1950s, the Salas Jiménez family based their peasant life on the production of coffee in the cold mountains of Santiago de San Ramón, Alajuela, cultivating large hectares of multiple types of coffee characterized by their quality, pleasant aroma and good flavor.
With a lot of work and dedication, Abelardo Salas Jiménez cultivated, maintained and cared with the help of his sons and daughters the coffee plantations that today are the main source of gold beans for BlackCoffee. He is our main source of inspiration to work hard to grow this little project called BlackCoffee.
